[ When You Are In Labor / After the Birth ]
When You Are In Labor...
- Call me when you think you are in labor or as soon as your bag of waters has released, even if you do not yet need me.
- Together we will decide if I should join you right away or wait for further change. We will at least check in every few hours.
- I will usually be with you within one hour from the time you ask me to come.
- I will also answer questions and make suggestions over the phone, should you desire.
- We will meet at a pre-arranged location, usually at your home or the birthing place.
- I will remain with you continuously, providing support and assistance throughout labor and birth.
- I recommend a variety of labor coping skills and labor management techniques to assist you through the birthing process.
